TBVME now has the authority to register and regulate veterinary facilities

With the passage of SB2155 in the 89th Regular Session, TBVME now has the authority to register and regulate veterinary facilities. However, the provision requiring registration of facilities does not go into effect until September 1, 2027. TBVME plans to conduct stakeholder meetings and propose rules regarding facility registration in Fall of 2026. The portal to begin registering facilities will open in Summer 2027 with all facilities required to be registered by September 1, 2027.
